Once during my college years, I was on Copano Bay as a storm was blowing in. My friends and I had to run out through the driving rain to secure our boat with an additional anchor. We didn’t know how high the water would get, but something had to be done. This painting reminds me of running out on a nearly swamped pier, young and indestructible.

This oil painting was created using a light impasto technique. The canvas size is 9” x 12”, with an approximately 1” margin on each side.
