I grew up not too far from Gruene, TX. Its water tower is well-known to tourists and locals alike. I really admire Van Gogh and his Starry Night, so I wanted to paint something whimsical in that style.

This oil painting was created using a light impasto technique. The canvas size is 12” x 16”, with an approximately 1” margin on each side.
